Cresset Christian Academy piles up the points against Hillside

The Cresset Christian Academy Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 34 points or more this season. They breezed by Hillside on the road to the tune of 80-46. With Cresset Christian Academy ahead 46-22 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Cresset Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamyiah Jarrett out in front who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, ten assists, and ten steals. The contest was Jarrett's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndoll English, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Hillside lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Mckenzy Green. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Samiyah Barker was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

Hillside struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Cresset Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 6-2-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.33 points. As for Hillside, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Cresset Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Cape Fear Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cape Fear Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. Hillside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
