Ohio High School Volleyball - Napoleon overwhelmed by Northview
September 25, 2018: Napoleon, OH 43545 The Napoleon Wildcats volleyball team (Napoleon, OH), went down 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH)
The Wildcats (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Maumee (Maumee, OH). The Panthers come into the Northern Lakes challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Maumee went down by Southview (Sylvania, OH), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats encounter the Bowling Green Bobcats (Bowling Green, OH) in a Northern Lakes challenge, on Thursday, September 27. Napoleon will attempt to move on its 2-14 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH).
Match Summary
NAPOLEON - As the fifteenth match of the year, Northview traveled to Napoleon in the battle of the Wildcats. Northview would win the second contest verse Napoleon in the same manner that they won the first match-up this year, three sets to zero.
Leading for Northview was senior, McKenna Hall, with a double-double, team high 18 kills and a team high 11 digs. Hall was also able to hit a stellar .364. Partnering with Hall was junior, Hannah Frame, with a double-double, 14 kills, 10 digs, hitting .367. Sophomore setter, Clare Kwiatkowski dished out 38 assists and contributed 6 digs.
With the victory, Northview moves to 11-4 overall, 6-3 in Northern Lakes League play and currently sitting in 3rd place within the NLL with only 7 regular season and 5 NLL matches remaining.
Northview returns to play on Thursday as they host Maumee. JV starts at 5:00 P.M. and Varsity at 6:30 P.M.
