Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Anthony Wayne
October 10, 2019: Whitehouse, OH 43571 Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Anthony Wayne Generals (Whitehouse, OH), 3-1 in a league match.
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Sandusky Blue Streaks (Sandusky, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 19. Northview will attempt to advance on its 15-7 season record. The Blue Streaks come into the match with a 2-20 record after their 3-0 league loss to Perkins (Sandusky, OH).
With the loss, Anthony Wayne drops to 13-7 on the campaign.
Match Summary
WHITEHOUSE - In the last regular season match for the Northview LadyKats, they had one goal in mind - completed the NLL season with a respectable second place finish and they did just that with their win over Anthony Wayne, 3-1. At the conclusion of the regular season, Northview moves to 15-7 overall, and 10-4 in the Northern Lakes League.
Leading in the victory was senior Hannah Frame who became the first Northview Volleyball player to record 1,000 career kills! Frame lead the LadyKats with 17 kills and currently sits first in the record book with 1,000 career kills, with more matches to play. Also leading for Northview was the defense of sophomore, Madi Taylor, who led with a team-high 17 digs. Also leading the defense was junior libero, Emma Dukate, with 16 digs, and junior defensive specialist, Morgan Brixey with 11 digs. Junior setter, Clare Kwiatkowski, had a team high 27 assists while also contributing 9 digs.
Northview plays 10/19/19 vs. Sandusky in the OHSAA Tournament.
