September 17, 2019: Sylvania, OH 43560 The Anthony Wayne Generals volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Northview Wildcats to 2 in the Generals league victory on Tuesday.
The Generals now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maumee for a Northern Lakes game on Thursday, September 19. Anthony Wayne will meet a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 11-3.
The Wildcats (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Bowling Green (Bowling Green, OH). The Bobcats enter the Northern Lakes game with a 2-11 record. In their last game, Bowling Green was nudged by Southview (Sylvania, OH), 3-0, in a league game.

SYLVANIA - In a battle for sole possession of 2nd place and a 6-1 record in the NLL to wrap-up the first half of league play, the Generals were too much for Northview. Northview moves to 7-5, 5-2 in the NLL and currently in 3rd place.
Leading for Northview was freshman outside hitter, Sydney Hires with 14 kills, hitting .209. Senior, Hannah Frame had a team-high 15 kills and 13 digs, while hitting .136 and junior libero, Emma Dukate had a team high 20 digs in the loss for Northview.
Northview returns to action on Thursday as they host Bowling Green at home.
