September 20, 2018: Bowling Green, OH 43402 The Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Bowling Green Bobcats to 0 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ross for a non-league game on Saturday, September 22. Northview will meet a Little Giants team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Findlay (Findlay, OH). The Little Giants record now stands at 5-8.
The Bobcats (5-7) will now prepare for their game against Newark Catholic (Newark, OH). The Green Wave enter the non-league game with a 10-3 record. In their last game, Newark Catholic gained a win over Northridge (Johnstown, OH), 3-0, in a league game.
Match Summary
BOWLING GREEN - The second half of Northern Lakes League conference play kicked off with Northview traveling to Bowling Green to take on the Bobcats. Northview starts out hot winning the first set 25-11 and then never looked back, winning 25-20, 25-20 in sets two and three.
Leading for Northview was sophomore setter, Clare Kwiatkowski who led with 46 assists, distributing to five different players who all had 7 kills or more. Clare was also able to contribute 5 digs. Offensively, junior outside hitter, Hannah Frame led with 12kills, hitting .205; senior outside hitter/middle blocker, McKenna Hall had 11 kills and a team high 14 digs, hitting .259. Other offense came from Bri Syroka, with 7 kills hitting .385, and Haley Catti with 7 kills, hitting .267. Tatum Lazar also had 9 kills, hitting .269. Emma Dukate, libero, had 13 digs.
Northview returns to the court on Saturday as all three teams take on Fremont Ross at home; Freshman start at 10:00 A.M., JV at 11:00 A.M. & Varsity after.
