Season Preview:The Bruins possess one of the most talented rosters in high school basketball with the addition of an impressive group of transfers over the summer.
Although they lost their leading scorer from last season (Kyree Walker) just before the season, this group has all the talent necessary to ascend into the Top 10 at the end of the season if they can find chemistry early in the year.
New additions of first team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American Foster Jr. and highly touted sophomore Nganga will form an imposing frontcourt, while Johnson and Edwards provide elite wing options.
Top returnee Terry will be the catalyst in a backcourt that has some questions entering the season after the departure of their star Walker.
Hillcrest Prep takes on a difficult national schedule headlined by showdowns with No. 4 Prolific Prep, No. 20 Hamilton Heights Christian, No. 21 Sunrise Christian Academy and trips to the Chick-fil-A Classic, John Wall Invitational and St. James Invitational.
The Bruins could be a dark horse that finishes better than expected this season, but they are also a risky pick with plenty of new pieces that need to jell.
