October 21, 2016: Waco, TX 76705 The La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) football defeated the visiting Lampasas Badgers (Lampasas, TX), 45-26 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Gatesville Hornets (Gatesville, TX) in a 4A-1 Region IV District 13 bout, on Friday, October 28. La Vega will attempt to move on its 8-0 season record. The Hornets enter the bout with a 4-4 record after their 46-21 league loss to China Spring (China Spring, TX).
The Badgers (1-7) will now prepare for their bout against Burnet (Burnet, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 4A-1 Region IV District 13 bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Burnet was toppled by Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX), 44-23, in a league bout.
