The Chaminade Eagles held off the visiting Loyola Cubs football team by a final score of 24-17 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Chaminade improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Alemany (Mission Hills, CA) to confront the Warriors in a Mission outing on Thursday, October 2. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 4-0. Alemany won 45-15 in their recent non-league outing against Dorsey (Los Angeles, CA)

With the loss, Loyola moves to 4-1 on the season. The Cubs host Crespi (Encino, CA) to confront the Celts in a Mission outing on Friday, October 3. The Celts go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Crespi lost 48-21 in their recent league outing against Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA)
