The South had the most movement among the five regions, as six new teams entered the rankings, including Buford (Ga.) debuting at No. 5.
Buford's win over Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) also dropped the preseason No. 2 team in the region down to No. 17. Other teams that made impressive debuts included Mallard Creek (Charlotte, N.C.) at No. 12 and North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Ga.) at No. 13.
See photo galleries from last week's action in the South RegionSt. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) did not play last week, but it maintained its No. 1 ranking over two other Florida teams, Washington (Miami) and Central (Miami), which both opened with impressive victories last week.

MaxPreps Computer Rankings. The South region includes teams from Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
