2016 NFL Draft: Laquon Treadwell was a MaxPreps all-American at Crete-Monee High School

Chicago-area alum could be drafted as high as 15th and is likely to be the first wide receiver selected in the NFL Draft, maybe by the Tennessee Titans.

While wide receivers are not expected to go high in this year's NFL Draft, the first receiver off the board is projected to be Ole Miss standout Laquon Treadwell.

Treadwell is seen as the type of receiver who can fight for the ball and gain yards after the catch even though he does not possess blazing speed. He was a third-team all-American with the Rebels, setting a school record for career receptions with 202.

Treadwell earned 2012 MaxPreps All-American Team honors as a senior at Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.) after catching 81 passes for 1,424 yards and 16 touchdowns his senior year. His team rolled to a 14-0 record and won a Class 6A state title. He also played basketball for the Warriors.

As a sophomore at Ole Miss, Treadwell suffered a season-ending leg injury. He returned to catch 48 passes for 632 yards as a junior and 82 catches for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior.

The latest CBS Sports mock draft boards have Treadwell going to a number of different teams. One has him going to the Tennessee Titans at 15th, two have him headed to the Detroit Lions at 16th and two others see him bound for the Minnesota Vikings at 23rd.
