Florida captured eight of the top 25 spots in the MaxPreps South Regional Football Computer Rankings, including the top four spots with St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) at No. 1.
Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.), the top small-school team in the nation, comes in at No. 2, followed by defending mythical national champion Washington (Miami) at No. 3 and Central (Miami) at No. 4.
Tennessee has four teams in the Top 25 while Maryland has three and Georgia and Mississippi each own two. Other states included in the South regional rankings include Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
