Spartanburg (S.C.) defeated Byrnes 17-7 in a matchup between the top two teams in South Carolina. Spartanburg moved up from No. 9 while Byrnes fell from No. 15 to No. 18.
The regional rankings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
