Dazmon Cameron has everything going for him: he plays on a winning team, he has loads of talent and his bloodlines include a father who was one of the top defensive outfielders in the Major Leagues.
So it's no wonder that Cameron tops the MaxPreps Top 50 Juniors list for the Class of 2015. Last year as a sophomore, Cameron was one of the top players in Georgia, leading his team to the Class A state championship and a 30-3 record. He was named the Henry County Herald Player of the Year after batting .434 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs.

Cameron, whose father is former MLB centerfielder Mike Cameron, has already been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game, which will be played in August at Wrigley Field. He tops a list of 50 of the nation's top juniors, chosen by MaxPreps based on national recruiting rankings, all-star game participation, statistics and all-state honors.
Two-way standout
Kyle Molnar of
Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) comes in at the No. 2 spot after earning MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honors last year. He went 8-3 on the mound as a sophomore and also batted .348 with three home runs. He will try to lead his team to a possible national ranking as Aliso Niguel plays in the National High School Invitational in late March.
Outfielder
Ryan Johnson of
College Station (Texas) is the No. 3 player. Johnson has also been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game and he was a member of the Texas Area Code Games team last summer. He also has helped College Station snag the No. 1 ranking in the Class 3A division in Texas to start the 2014 season.
Shortstop
Nicholas Shumpert of
Highlands Ranch (Colo.) ranks No. 4. He was a defensive standout at the Area Code Games last summer and he has also been chosen to the Under Armour All-American Game. His father Terry was a 14-year veteran in the Major Leagues.
No. 5 is
Jahmai Jones of
Wesleyan (Norcross, Ga.), a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American last year who batted .484 with nine home runs, 14 doubles and 32 RBIs while playing in the outfield.
