See the fun play that occurred in California.The National High School Invitational had an effect on this week's Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard, as tournament champion Huntington Beach moved back into the rankings after a one week absence.
Four of the ranked teams participating in the tournament, however, fell out of this week's rankings after losses. Walton (Marietta, Ga.), Houston (Germantown, Tenn.), Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, Va.) and Flanagan (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) all fell out, along with Madison (Vienna, Va.), Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, Miss.), Bryant (Ark.), Flower Mound (Texas) and Barbe (Lake Charles, La.).
Top teams moving in this week include three teams from Florida: South Dade, Canterbury and Tate. Texas teams Deer Park and Lake Travis also moved in along with Davis (Calif.), Stillwater (Okla.) and Blessed Trinity (Roswell, Ga.).
Rankings include only teams that play in states where the baseball season has already begun or will begin in the next two weeks.

1. (last week 1) Coppell (Texas), 18-0
The Cowboys got past perhaps their toughest opponent of the season by taking two from Carroll (Southlake). In a 1-0 win,
John Kodros went six innings and allowed just one hit while striking out eight and walking one.
Charles King went five innings but did not get the win in a 2-1 victory. He struck out seven and gave up one run on three hits.
Ben Kelly added a triple and an RBI to drive in the winning run in the seventh.
2. (2) Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), 16-1
The Mavericks reached the finals of the High School Baseball Network March Madness tournament with a 5-4 win over Killian and a 7-4 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. However Archbishop McCarthy forfeited the championship game to Monsignor Pace due to the school's rule forbidding the scheduling of games with Monsignor Pace.
3. (4) Providence (Charlotte, N.C.), 11-0
The Panthers had a huge win over Harding University (Charlotte), winning 19-4. Providence got a shutout from
Logan Davidson to beat South Mecklenburg (Charlotte) 3-0.
4. (6) Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.), 14-0
The Bears went 4-0 at the Fresno Easter Tournament, defeating Hanford West 6-2, Woodcreek (Roseville) 1-0, Sheldon (Sacramento) 12-6 and Hanford 5-1.
Grant Gambrell hit a home run against Hanford West while
Zach Presno provided the only run against Woodcreek with a round-tripper.
5. (7) Clovis (Calif.), 16-0
The Cougars remained undefeated with five wins at the Fresno Easter Tournament. Clovis beat Sanger 8-1, Redwood (Visalia) 5-1, Oakmont (Roseville) 6-5, Tehachapi 15-0 and Edison (Fresno) 8-0.
6. (9) JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), 7-1
The Lions were idle last week. They will play in the Boras Classic this week.
7. (11) Orange Lutheran (Calif.), 8-1
The Lancers were idle last week. They will participate in the Boras Classic this week.
8. (13) Katy (Texas), 18-0
The Tigers edged Seven Lakes (Katy) 3-2 in district play and blanked Morton Ranch (Katy) 4-0.
Dane Haveman went six innings to get the win over Seven Lakes.
9. (14) Johnson (San Antonio), 15-1
The Jaguars won a pair of games last week, defeating Central Catholic (San Antonio) 9-4 in a non-district game and Madison (San Antonio) 11-6 in district play.
10. (15) South Caldwell (Hudson, N.C.), 9-0
The Spartans knocked off St. Stephens (Hickory) 5-2 and Foard (Newton) 10-2 to remain undefeated.
11. (20) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 8-1
The Gaels won the Chris Moon Memorial Classic Tournament with four straight wins, including a 9-0 win over host Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.) in the championship game. Bishop Gorman also topped St. Laurence (Burbank, Ill.) 16-3, Cienega (Vail, Ariz.) 3-2 and Marana (Tucson, Ariz.) 12-5.
Beau Capanna had a home run against Canyon del Oro.
12. (NR) South Dade (Homestead, Fla.), 16-1
The Buccaneers won the Louisville Slugger Select Classic with an 11-4 win over Merritt Island. South Dade also defeated O'Fallon (Ill.) 13-6, Hersey (Arlington Heights, Ill.) 8-2 and Enterprise (Ala.) 5-4.
13. (NR) Lake Travis (Austin, Texas), 16-1-1
The Cavaliers' only loss of the season is to Fossil Ridge, with a tie against Coronado (Lubbock).
14. (NR) Deer Park (Texas), 18-0
The Deer join Coppell and Katy as the only three undefeated teams in Class 6A in Texas.
15. (23) Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), 15-2
The Huskies defeated Sunnyslope (Phoenix) 9-2 and Gilbert 8-4 in their only games last week.
Cole Bellinger hit a home run against Sunnyslope.
16. (3) Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, Fla.), 14-2
The Eagles lost to La Salle (Miami) 1-0 in the second round of the High School Baseball Network March Madness tournament but bounced back to defeat Mater Academy (Hialeah Gardens) 13-3 in their final game of the event.
17. (5) Rockledge (Fla.), 17-1
The Raiders suffered their first loss of the season, a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Christian Brothers (Memphis, Tenn.) at the IMG Spring Break Tournament. Rockledge finished in third place at the event with an 11-1 win over Osceola (Seminole). Rockledge also defeated Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens) 6-3 and Jesuit (Carmichael, Calif.) 3-2.
18. (NR) Huntington Beach (Calif.), 7-4
The Oilers won the National High School Invitational and will compete in the Boras Classic this week.
19. (NR) Blessed Trinity (Roswell, Ga.), 14-0
The Titans have wins over Pope, Westminster, St. Pius X Catholic, Lambert and Allatoona.
20. (NR) Davis (Calif.), 9-0
The Blue Devils won the Boras Classic North Division tournament with a 10-6 victory over Serra (San Mateo) in the championship game. Davis also defeated Maria Carillo (Santa Rosa) 7-5, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) 6-2, and Heritage (Brentwood) 6-2.
21. (NR) Stillwater (Okla.), 10-0
Stillwater went undefeated on its trip to Florida. Big games loom this week against Broken Arrow.
22. (NR) Canterbury (Fort Myers, Fla.), 15-1
Canterbury won the Sarasota Tournament with a victory over Westminster Christian.
23. (NR) Tate (Cantonment, Fla.), 16-1
The Aggies have won 10 straight since their only loss of the season.
24. (16) Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas), 15-2
Cy-Fair split its two district games with Cypress Creek last week, winning 12-5 and losing 2-1.
Blake Faecher had a home run and three RBIs in the win.
25. (18) Westminster Christian (Miami), 16-3-1
Westminster Christian posted a 6-0 win over Lyman (Longwood), a 5-4 win over Cardinal Mooney (Sarasota) and a 4-3 win over Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton), but lost to Canterbury (Fort Myers) 3-0 in the finals at the Sarasota tournament.
Dropped out: No. 8 Madison (Vienna, Va.), No. 10 Walton (Marietta, Ga.), No. 12 Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, Va.), No. 17 Bryant (Ark.), No. 19 Flanagan (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), No. 21 Houston (Germantown, Tenn.), No. 22.
