See the stellar play out of New Jersey.The lone remaining undefeated team in the Texas Class 6A division is now at the top of the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Deer Park, which is 30-0 after winning its first two games of the Class 6A state playoffs, replaces Lake Travis as the top team in the rankings after Lake Travis lost to Stony Point in a first-round playoff game.
Lake Travis went on to win its series with Stony Point, but the loss was enough to drop it down to the No. 9 spot in this week's rankings.
While Deer Park now holds the top spot, a former No. 1 is lurking close behind. Coppell moves up to No. 2 after winning its playoff-opening series with Duncanville. Buchanan, meanwhile, moves up to No. 3 after sweeping Clovis in a two-game series.
Buchanan is involved in a set of seven matchups involving ranked teams. The Bears will take on No. 38 Clovis North in a two-game league series. Other matchups include: No. 5 Rockledge vs. No. 13. Archbishop McCarthy, No. 10 West Orange vs. No. 16 University, No. 19 Walton vs. No. 49 Lambert, No. 25 Barbe vs. No. 33 Catholic (Baton Rouge), No. 34 Redondo Union vs. No. 35 Mira Costa and No. 36 Mountain Ridge vs. No. 37 Hamilton.

1. (last week 2) Deer Park (Texas), 30-0
The only undefeated Class 6A team left in Texas, Deer Park moves to the top of the Xcellent 50 after Lake Travis' playoff loss to Stony Point. Deer Park topped Manvel 5-0 and 12-0 in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
Cameron Thompson went seven innings and allowed one hit with 12 strikeouts in the 5-0 victory. He also had a triple with an RBI.
Josiah Ortiz had a pair of doubles in the other win.
2. (3) Coppell (Texas), 29-1
The Cowboys are poised to move back into the top spot, as they defeated Duncanville 8-4 and 7-0 in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
Jacob Nesbit hit a home run and
Charles King struck out nine in the 8-4 victory while
Cody Masters was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in the shutout win.
3. (4) Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.), 25-1
The Bears swept rival Clovis 8-0 and 3-1 last week to stay on top of the Tri-River Athletic Conference standings.
Alex Peralta was 2-for-3 with a double and
Grant Gambrell was 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the shutout win. Buchanan finishes the season with two games against Clovis North this week.
4. (5) Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, Fla.), 24-2
Brandon Kaminer started and went eight innings in search of his 11th win of the season, but Douglas needed nine innings to beat West Broward, scoring on a balk after
Josh Miaskowski tripled in the bottom of the ninth.
5. (6) Rockledge (Fla.), 28-1
Rockledge set up a meeting with Archbishop McCarthy by blanking Port St. Lucie 1-0 in the Florida Class 6A state playoffs.
6. (7) Canterbury (Fort Myers, Fla.), 29-1
The Cougars got six strikeouts in seven innings from
Sam Keating to knock off Northside Christian. Canterbury faces Maclay in the semifinals of the Class 3A state playoffs this week.
7. (8) Blessed Trinity (Roswell, Ga.), 29-1
Hayden Lehman threw a two-hitter in a 2-0 win over Callaway and Blessed Trinity won the second game 5-2 to advance to the third round of the Georgia Class 3A state playoffs.
8. (9) North Davidson (Lexington, N.C.), 22-1
Rain cancelled the Central Piedmont Conference tournament, leaving North Davidson idle last week. It will begin the Class 4A state playoffs this week.
9. (1) Lake Travis (Austin, Texas), 28-2-1
Lake Travis lost its playoff opener to Stony Point, 1-0, but came back to win the series 4-3 and 9-2. The one loss drops Lake Travis from the No. 1 spot in the national rankings.
10. (10) West Orange (Winter Garden, Fla.), 26-2
West Orange set up a playoff matchup with University (Orange City) by beating Apopka 6-1.
Nathan Schreckengost had a home run in the win. The Warriors face University in the third round.
11. (11) St. Thomas Catholic (Houston), 29-1-1
The Eagles defeated Dallas Parish Episcopal 10-0 in the first round of the TAPPS Division 5A state playoffs.
Ross Brock had a double and a home run in the win.
12. (12) Seven Lakes (Katy, Texas), 26-3
Seven Lakes advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a 7-0, 9-2 sweep of Reagan (Houston).
13. (13) Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), 26-2
The Mavericks set up a showdown with No. 5 Rockledge by edging American Heritage (Plantation) 4-3 in the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs.

14. (14) South Caldwell (Hudson, N.C.), 25-1
South Caldwell won three games in conference tournament play, beating Watauga (Boone) 5-2, Foard (Newton) 17-1 and Hibriten (Lenoir) 8-3.
15. (15) Providence (Charlotte, N.C.), 24-2
Providence won twice in conference tournament play, beating Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology (Charlotte) 1-0 and avenging an earlier loss to Ardrey Kell (Charlotte) with a 3-2 win.
16. (16) University (Orange City, Fla.), 23-3-1
University advanced to a Class 9A regional final matchup with West Orange by topping Spruce Creek 5-3.
Logan Allen struck out 12 in the win and
Timothy Dixon and
Jacob Molle both hit home runs.
17. (17) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 27-4
The Gaels closed out the regular season with three more wins, beating Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas) 5-2, Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas) 7-6 and Arbor View (Las Vegas) 15-5.
Jordan Sadovia had a double and a home run in the win over Arbor View.
18. (18) Calallen (Corpus Christi, Texas), 23-2
The Wildcats were idle last week before heading into this week's first round of the Class 5A playoffs.
19. (19) Walton (Marietta, Ga.), 26-4
Walton won twice in the Class 6A state playoffs last week, beating Lee County 9-2 and 6-1.
Zac Kristofak struck out seven to get the win in the 9-2 victory while
Jason Rooks went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the 6-1 victory. Walton meets Lambert in the third round.
20. (21) Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas), 27-3
Cy-Fair opened the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs with a sweep of MacArthur (Houston) 11-2 and 10-0.
21. (22) Greenup County (Greenup, Ky.), 31-0
Possessing possibly the best record in the nation, Greenup County won five times last week, beating Raceland 19-9 and 5-1, Lawrence County 7-0, Russell 13-1 and Wheelersrburg 5-1.
22. (23) Jackson (Massillon, Ohio), 20-0
Jackson racked up four more shutouts last week, beating Central Catholic 3-0, Louisville 4-0, Green 4-0 and 10-0. Jackson also defeated Hoover 3-2.
23. (24) Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, La.), 33-4
The Rebels beat Livonia 9-0 in the second round of the Class 4A state playoffs and then swept Grant 11-1 and 2-0 to advance to the semifinals against Breaux Bridge.
24. (32) Brother Rice (Chicago), 24-2
The top team in Illinois won four times in conference play last week, beating St. Rita 8-2, St. Francis 16-8 and Providence Catholic 7-2 and 3-0.
25. (37) Barbe (Lake Charles, La.), 33-6
The Buccaneers moved into the semifinals with a sweep of St. Amant, 3-0 and 6-1. Barbe is in search of its third-straight Class 5A state championship.

Johnson opened bi-district play in the Class 6A state playoffs with a 7-5, 3-2 sweep of Smithson Valley.
27. (29) JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), 20-6
JSerra Catholic got in only one game against St. John Bosco (Bellflower) last week, winning 3-0.
28. (31) Bolles (Jacksonville, Fla.), 25-3
Bolles advanced to the regional finals of the Florida Class 5A state playoffs with a 9-0 win over Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville). It will meet Rutheford in this week's playoff matchup.
29. (33) Westside (Houston), 28-2
The Wolves opened the postseason with a 7-4, 10-0 sweep of Katy Taylor in the Class 6A state playoffs.
30. (34) Sparkman (Harvest, Ala.), 37-7
Sparkman advanced to the semifinals of the Class 7A state playoffs with a 3-2, 8-5 sweep of Huntsville. It will meet Hewitt-Trussville this week.
31. (35) Buford (Ga.), 27-3
The Wolves advanced to the quarterfinals of the Georgia Class 4A state playoffs with a 15-0, 16-2 sweep of Bainbridge.
32. (36) Bryant (Ark.), 24-2
The Hornets head into the final week of the regular season with two more wins, beating Van Buren 7-1 and Catholic (Little Rock) 4-0.
33. (38) Catholic-B.R. (Baton Rouge, La.), 31-6
The Bears finished off Hahnville 5-1 in the second round and then swept Jesuit (New Orleans) 6-5, 8-0 in the Class 5A quarterfinals. They will face two-time defending state champion Barbe (Lake Charles) in the semifinals.
34. (41) Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.), 25-1
Redondo Union set up a season-ending matchup with Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach) with a 5-1, 6-2 sweep of Palos Verdes.
35. (42) Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), 23-5
Mira Costa captured the Boras Classic by defeating Davis 7-4. It also won twice in league play, beating Morningside 19-0 and 11-0. Mira Costa meets Redondo Union this week with a chance to take the Bay League title.
36. (43) Mountain Ridge (Glendale, Ariz.), 25-5
Mountain Ridge advanced to the Division I semifinals with a 9-5 win over Sunrise Mountain (Peoria), a 5-4 win over O'Connor (Phoenix) and a 5-1 win over Mountain Pointe (Phoenix). The Mountain Lions meet Hamilton in the semifinals of the winners bracket.
37. (NR) Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.), 25-6
The Huskies defeated Queen Creek 4-2, Chaparral (Scottsdale) 11-10 and Perry (Gilbert) 8-3 to advance to the Division I winners bracket semifinals against Mountain Ridge.
38. (44) Clovis North (Fresno, Calif.), 22-4-1
Clovis North set up a two-game matchup with Buchanan by topping Central (Fresno) 4-2 and 6-0.
39. (45) O'Fallon (Ill.), 25-3
O'Fallon remains the top team in southern Illinois by beating Belleville East 7-0, East St. Louis 17-0, Valmeyer 10-0, Mascoutah 9-1 and Lincoln 14-0. O'Fallon has 14 shutouts on the season.
40. (46) Plainfield North (Ill.), 19-2
Plainfield North had a strong week, beating Plainfield South 3-0, 1-0 and 3-2.
41. (47) St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.), 15-2
St. Joseph Regional won its only game of the week, beating Don Bosco Prep 5-0.
42. (39) Orange Lutheran (Calif.), 18-7
The Lancers took two out of three from Mater Dei (Santa Ana), winning 6-0 and 2-1 and falling 7-6.
43. (30) American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.), 19-5
American Heritage was eliminated from the Florida Class 6A state playoffs after falling to Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale) 4-3 in the second round.
44. (48) De La Salle (Concord, Calif.), 17-3
The Spartans won a pair of league games, beating Granada (Livermore) 6-2 and Livermore 2-1.
45. (49) Farragut (Knoxville, Tenn.), 33-4
The Admirals won four times, beating Mt. Juliet 6-0, Christian Academy of Knoxville 1-0, Lenoir City 10-3 and Maryville 5-0.
46. (50) Owasso (Okla.), 30-6
The Rams had a strong week, beating Union (Tulsa) 5-3, Collinsville 3-1, Sapulpa 18-4, Page 4-0 and Broken Arrow 10-6.
47. (26) Staley (Kansas City, Mo.), 29-4
Staley went 4-2 last week, beating William Chrisman 10-8, Fort Osage 7-3, Raytown 8-0 and Oak Park 10-3 and losing to Neosho 9-8 and Jefferson City 4-3.
48. (NR) Venice (Fla.), 24-5
The defending state champion advanced to the third round of the playoffs with a 6-0 win over Naples. Venice won its playoff opener 8-0 over Palmetto Ridge.
49. (NR) Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.), 25-6
The Longhorns advanced to the Class 6A quarterfinals where they will meet Walton. Lambert took two from Lakeside last week, winning 2-1 and 10-0.
50. (NR) Columbus (Ga.), 25-6
The Blue Devils knocked out previous No. 25 Allatoona with two straight wins, 9-7 and 3-2, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Georgia Class 5A state playoffs.
