Third-ranked Colquitt County is shooting for its second-straight state title and 30th-consecutive victory. The Packers (14-0) scored a 52-31 win against previously unbeaten Mill Creek (Hoschton) last week.
No. 10 Roswell (14-0) reached its first state championship game since 2006 by edging then-No. 7 Grayson, 30-26. The Hornets scored the game-winning points on a 35-yard touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the game. A win Saturday would give Roswell 15 wins – matching its combined number of victories in the previous four seasons.
Names to watch: The catalyst of Colquitt County's high-powered offense is senior quarterback
Chase Parrish. The senior threw for a career-high 436 yards and six touchdowns against Mill Creek, bringing his season totals to 3,195 yards and 39 touchdowns.
Roswell senior quarterback
Quintarius Neely had over 300 combined passing and rushing yards and two touchdowns last week. Neely has nearly 3,000 total yards for the season.
