Video: Derrick Henry High School HighlightsDespite being the nation's all-time leading high school rusher, a member of the 2015 national champion Alabama Crimson Tide and the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner,
Derrick Henry is predicted to slip out of the first round of the NFL Draft and go somewhere near the top of the second round, possibly to the Dallas Cowboys.
If that sounds a little bit like the career of Emmitt Smith, then that's good news for Henry. Although he didn't win the Heisman Trophy or a national championship at Florida, Smith was a highly decorated Florida high school running back who had an outstanding college career but slipped to the end of the first round of the draft to the Cowboys.
Of course Smith went on to become the NFL's all-time leading rusher with 18,355 career yards. Whether or not Henry can do the same will depend on his ability to transition to the much quicker NFL.
