Video: Su'a Cravens high school highlightsSu'a Cravens made plenty of plays for USC laying hard hits from the linebacker and safety spots. He did that and a whole lot more during his time at
Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, Calif.), and MaxPreps took notice.
Cravens was a two-time first team honoree on the MaxPreps All-American Team (his junior and senior seasons) and was also a second team sophomore all-American. He evolved each season, finding new ways to help his team consistently remain among the top squads in all of Southern California.
A combination linebacker/safety, Cravens had 11 sacks, three interceptions and 19 touchdowns as a junior, then recorded 97
tackles and four interceptions to go along with eight sacks and three
blocked punts as a senior. He already had offers from UCLA and Hawaii as a sophomore, but chose downtown Los Angeles, where he earned freshman all-American honors then third team all-American honors as a sophomore.

Cravens finished high school at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, and he has put on roughly another 20 pounds as he seeks NFL stardom. Still, he's been rumored to not be big enough to play linebacker in the NFL. The chatter around the NFL Draft says that Cravens is likely to be selected in the second or third round.
