The Eagles reached the Class A semifinals before losing to Bangor. Messalonskee returns one of the state's top pitchers in
Ben Frazee, who threw a no-hitter as a sophomore. Also back are all-state second team selections
Jake Dexter at shortstop and
Zachary Mathieu in the outfield.

Bangor won its first state championship since 2006 and the summer American Legion program also fared well with a state title. Two of the pitchers on those two teams,
Trevor Delaite and
Andrew Hillier, both return along with relief pitcher
James Prescott.

Greely won the Class B state championship last season, the fifth in school history. Coach Derek Soule returns 13 players from last year's roster, including all-state second team outfielder
William Bryant.

The Mariners return 10 players who had at least 10 at-bats last year, led by
Nick Mazurek, the conference MVP who batted .460 with 25 RBIs and five home runs. He earned all-state first team honors at shortstop.
Ryan Allender, a pitcher who went 4-2 as a junior last year, also returns.

Head coach: Michael Boles
The Eagles had a losing record last year and lost in the first round of the Class B playoffs, but look for them to turn things around in 2015. Ellsworth returns one of the state's top players in outfielder/pitcher
Conor Maguire, who was the conference MVP and also earned first team all-state honors.
