The Brophy College Prep Broncos held off the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride football team by a count of 31-28 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Brophy College Prep upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Broncos host Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ) to encounter the Firebirds in a non-league outing on Friday, October 17. The Firebirds go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Chaparral won 31-6 in their recent non-league outing against Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ)

With the loss, Mountain Pointe moves to 6-2 on the season. The Pride travel to Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ) to encounter the Aztecs in a I Section IV outing on Friday, October 17. The Aztecs go into the outing with a record of 1-6. Corona del Sol lost 27-14 in their recent league outing against Dobson (Mesa, AZ)
