The Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) football overcame the visiting Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ), 49-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Scorpions face the Shadow Ridge Stallions (Surprise, AZ) in a III Section VII bout, on Friday, September 19. Desert Edge will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Stallions enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 55-6 non-league loss to Cactus (Glendale, AZ).

The Sabercats (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Desert View (Tucson, AZ). The Jaguars come into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Desert View was dropped by Kofa (Yuma, AZ), 27-8, in a non-league game.
